This picture is priceless! Here I am with my four siblings and our mother, celebrating her 100th birthday.
I had a significant role in the taking of this photo. My mother did not know that my cousin Arjen had traveled from Holland to see her on her 100th birthday. I happened to be near my mother when I noticed Arjen walking towards us from the back of the hall. The photographer also happened to be near by. I quickly explained the situation to her and asked her to capture the surprise. She did so perfectly! What a great memory!
My older brother Bill with his wife Bonnie and his mother. Bill has a serious personality and is not fond of social occasions. But on this day he looked very happy. I had noticed this and so had some others. It added more joy to a joyful day.
