Vibing With Peter is a Crew within the online Emergent Commons community. We are following the life journey of Peter Limberg, the steward of The Stoa who now strives to become Less Foolish. We are supporters of his efforts to make wisdom more common.
Peter explains his direction in sixteen minutes in his Midwifing a Wisdom Commons Part 2 w/ Peter Limberg presentation. To understand the VWP Crew, this is a must-view. It is worth viewing more than once or twice.
Please note that while Peter Limberg is a member of Emergent Commons and the VWP Crew, he is generally not an active participant in these spaces. Our intent in the Crew is to primarily engage with his ideas, his content, rather than with him personally. However, he is, of course, more than welcome to engage as he wishes.
To join the VWP Crew you need first to join EC which you can do at emergentcommons.org. EC membership is not automatic but the process is not onerous. And there is a great Team of Greeters plus excellent onboarding information to assist you.
After becoming an EC member, contact me, John Stokdijk, using the member Chat. I will guide you through the process of joining the Crew. There are additional requirements that are designed to ensure a very safe space inside a thriving community.
REQUIREMENTS
- Use your real first and last name in your EC profile. We are NOT GAME A.
- Use a current photo of the real you in your EC profile. We strive to be authentic.
- Confirm you are a paid subscriber to Less Foolish or a supporter of Peter on Patreon. We are serious while not putting Peter on a pedestal.
- Disclose all products and services you sell, including offerings in the gift economy. Examples are courses offered or publication subscriptions available. We are not against anyone earning a living. You are encouraged to utilize the EC Marketplace space for that purpose. Unfortunately, some people cleverly pretend to engage with others when their hidden, primary purpose is to sell them something. We seek transparency and encourage radical transparency.
- Must be willing to engage with other Crew members. Something is required from you here that only your unique self can bring. Members inactive for a three-month period will be removed from the Crew.
These requirements are intended to align VWP with the Emergent Commons purpose which has an emphasis on building relationships, which requires active engagement, which requires building trust.
OPTIONAL... but encouraged
- Including your IRL location in your EC profile. Where you actually are adds a piece to our Crew context as we begin to build relationships.
- Including which eras/decades you have witnessed firsthand. We are all living across different times giving us different realities which we seek to understand.
